One thing has bothered me about the layout and that was the cotton loading platform. Essentially it is only operating about one to two months out of the year. Really, I need another round the year industry.
Richard Foucher on the HOG group (http://groups.yahoo.com/group/HOGRR/) suggested sand. Great idea! I grew up watching river sand operations on the Etowah River and they are fascinating. The platform dredge pulls up the chunky river sand (mostly used for concrete back them) and loaded it into trucks. It also makes for a good water model.
