The Heart of Georgia Railroad in HO scale was a great success and over 20 of these layouts have been built. Its purpose was to give a beginner a chance at building a layout that was operations capable and that would not cease to be interesting over a short period of time.
The next step in growing in the hobby is usually more advanced construction techniques and scenery. You want to develop your scenery skills, build more complicated benchwork and work with track elevations.
So...time for a new design!
